Abstract
An experimentally discovered and theoretically analyzed mode of power suppression of the output signal in a Gunn diode-based oscillator is described. It is established that the explored mode of the synchronized oscillator has an extremely high sensitivity to change in the natural frequency of the Gunn diode. The possibility is shown of using the power suppression mode in a semiconductor synchronized microwave oscillator as a method for high-precision indication of parameters changing for objects that are placed into the generator´s resonator system
