Abstract :
The 21 APEC nations consist of several of the world´s largest populations and energy users. Just four members: United States, Japan, China and Indonesia are some of the most energy-hungry countries in the world. While the US and Japan are expected to maintain their energy demand at present levels, China and Indonesia are projecting tremendous growth as their population and economies expand. All four economies are predominately powered by fossil generation-mostly coal
