Abstract :
We present a detailed characterisation of the dynamic range of a multi-section laser (MSL) to be incorporated as a millimetre-wave (MM-wave) optical transmitter in a MM-wave fibre-wireless uplink. The laser is stabilised using hybrid and synchronous mode-locking stabilisation techniques. The capability of transmitting multiple MM-wave radio channels using the laser is also demonstrated
