Abstract :
A new research resource has been developed, allowing organizations with limited facilities for pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) analysis to develop large and nonlinear nonparametric population models. The infrastructure described in this paper is flexible, reliable and secure. These resources are in use today by researchers in a number organizations and countries. Satellite installations continue to grow both nationally and internationally. The computational systems currently being made available through World Wide Web interfaces include the world´s eighth largest supercomputer, smaller supercomputers and Beowulf systems. We first give a formulation of the problem. Then we give a description of infrastructure that is being used to overcome the problem. The last section contains an example of how the system is being used today
