Radio remotely controlled system of electric network subsidiary, TG. Mures Romania-realizations and prospects

The authors describe how, during the last decade, 20 kV remote radio-controlled power system utilization has become indispensable for Romanian electric utilities. The system will be extended in the future, in a combined configuration, including either reclosers or switch-disconnectors. The used reclosers have to be introduced in existing remotely radio controlled systems. As reliability is absolutely necessary in secure radiocommunication support, the authors were recommended a 450 MHz frequency trunking communication system.
