Abstract
It is planned that Wireless 1394 be installed into the home environment and frequent personal activities or movements are anticipated in a house. Attenuation levels caused by human shadowing are measured in an anechoic chamber from 1 GHz to 40 GHz carrier band. It can be found that attenuation effects with average loss level of about 20 dB would be confronted as the ordinary situation. For Wireless 1394 home networking, an important characteristic is the reconfiguring function by utilizing ad-hoc wireless nodes. Employing this function, we propose the method of ad-hoc node relaying to counter the human shadowing effects
