Abstract
The thesis is devoted to problems of solving Maxwell´s equations in the cavities containing nonlinear medium. The cylindrical cavity with a bounding surface of the complicated form is considered. With the purpose of obtaining a solution the method of evolutionary equations (or method of modal basis) is used. It allows one to investigate the cavities with time-varying or nonlinear mediums and without the limitations on the constitutive relations and on the functions of impressed sources, namely: to take into account all time-varying or nonlinear effects in mechanisms of polarization, magnetization and conductivity of a medium, that results in faithful representations for the unknown electromagnetic field
