Abstract
Questions connected with the radiation of relativistic charged particles, particular electrons, are of significant interest for specialists both in relativistic electronics and in accelerator physics. The investigation of relativistic electron radiation allows one to obtain information about beam parameters, and the radiation nature (transition, synchrotron etc.) is of no principal importance. A beam at the exit of linear resonance electron accelerators is a train of dense bunches with their length being in the 0.1-10 mm range for most S-band accelerators. The number of electrons per bunch N is 107-10 11 . The radiation intensity is proportional to N2 in case when the radiation wavelength more than a bunch length. The wavelength of coherent radiation of bunches is in millimeter and submillimeter ranges for modem linear electron accelerators. The aim of this present paper is the experimental study of coherent diffraction radiation from relativistic electron bunches accelerated in a linear resonance accelerator
