Abstract
The Monitored Drift Tube (MDT) is the basic element of the ATLAS muon detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). More than 400 long MDTs have been constructed and tested at the University of Michigan for Module 0 of the ATLAS end-cap muon chambers. This paper reports the critical MDT assembly techniques in details. The quality control and assurance (QA/QC) test methods are also described. Module 0 MTD QA/QC testing data are presented
