Abstract
A novel approach to mixed H2/Hinfin filtering with regional pole assignment is proposed based on multiobjective evolutionary algorithm (MOEA). To design optimal H2 /Hinfin filters with less conservatism, a kind of hybrid MOEA (HMOEA) is especially developed. Firstly, evolutionary search is performed by HMOEA to obtain a set of approximate Pareto optimal solutions. Then, a local search is carried out with each previously obtained solution to design better H2/Hinfin filters. An illustrative example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed method
