Abstract
In the "current" statistical model, the maximum acceleration of a maneuvering target is usually assumed to be a constant, which will result in a big estimation error for target state if the target maneuvering happens. To solve this problem, an improved algorithm of maneuvering target tracking is proposed in the paper by using the adaptive relationship between maneuvering acceleration and its covariance, and meanwhile considering the variation rate of acceleration. As a result, an enlarged region is obtained for target tracking, and better precision as well. Simulation results show the efficiency and feasibility of the proposed algorithm
