Abstract
To adapt workflow management system to dynamically changing grid environment, Web services as well as agent technologies are incorporated to design a grid services workflow system framework based on colored Petri nets (CPN for short) in this paper. Firstly, we discusses in detail how to allocate resources intelligently through agent technologies, and then how Web services can be located and invoked is also discussed. Finally, through a simple example of airline ticket service system, this paper shows how Web services, agent technologies and colored Petri nets can be used to enhance adaptability and dynamicity of the framework from process, resource and task perspectives respectively
