Abstract
The integration of WiMAX and Femtocell seems to be a feasible option for better and cheaper wireless coverage extension. WiMAX-Femtocell is currently under development and they are expected to play an important role in the development of broadband wireless access. There are many researches on the integration of physical layer but there are little about MAC layer. We want to propose a new scheme for the authentication HIBE for WiMAX and Femtocell. The Identity-Based Encryption is a different method in authentication in that user uses its own identity and the public parameters to encrypt message and only the right base-station can decrypt that message. IBE method has overcome the vulnerability compare to the PKM v2 such as the security in mesh network and it also reduces the number of messages in the authentication process. In this paper, we provide a scheme for authentication of WiMAX and Femtocell and a handover process.
