Abstract
The advances in wireless systems, allied to increasing bandwidth demands, are driving the emergence of new network architectures, such as Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS). It is important that these networks are able to support simultaneously several radio channels, optimizing the use of the available resources and thereby maximizing the operators´ revenues. The analysis of such scenario, where a DAS network supports several radio channels using Sub-Carrier Multiplexing (SCM), is presented in this paper. The support of multiple signal formats used in 2G, 3G and 4G technologies over a DAS is evaluated, and the system is proven to be feasible.
