Abstract :
An efficient recursive procedure for the computation of the electromagnetic scattering due to multilayer elliptic cylinders illuminated by transverse-magnetic (TM) fields is generalized to the case of lossy materials by using Mathieu functions of complex arguments. The developed approach is validated by means of comparisons with the results provided by well-established electromagnetic simulators.
