  • Abstract
    In this letter, we consider the macro diversity for millimeter-wave cellular systems, which suffer from blockage, to reduce the outage probability. A user can choose a base station (BS) within a communication range. By increasing the communication range, the user can see more unblocked BSs and reduce the outage probability. A closed-form expression for the outage probability is derived, and the average transmission power is studied to see the impact of the communication range on performances.
