A Simpler Version of Optimum Horn Design Equations for Classroom Use [Education Column]

The subject “Advanced Radiation Systems,” offered by the Anna University, Chennai (Madras), for masters students has optimum pyramidal horn design as one of the topics. While preparing lecture material for this topic based on [1-4], this author thought it might be desirable to present a simpler version of the equations that could be somewhat easier to remember (in case there was a requirement), and could possibly facilitate at least marginally easier calculations in the classroom. The equations that follow are a result of this thinking.
