Abstract :
Various devices of arc suppression reactors that reduce current-phase earth fault were considered. The device was designed for single-phase short-circuit current limit, which provides a minimal set this short-circuit current. Schemes of model of the device with different filters were given. These models have shown the superiority of neutral grounding through the controlled current source as compared with the neutral grounding through the arc suppression coil: decreased steady-state short-circuit current due to the increased quality factor of the strength member; increased speed of the device (from the current source with a high pass filter). In addition, the control unit of the device has a lower weight and less noise than the control unit of arc suppression coils.
