Abstract :
In this paper, a dual-mode conical horn antenna for measuring partial discharge (PD) of the high-frequency pulse signal was designed and its structure and performance were analyzed. Related conclusions are simulated by using Ansoft HFSS. Through optimizing the antenna parameters the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR<;2) and bandwidth property (700~1500MHz) that meet the detecting demand were obtained. Within its working frequency band scanning, some conclusion were drawn. The extraction of partial discharge signals by the method of the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) broadband was achieved. The test results indicated that this antenna meets the design requirements as a whole, and provided theoretical reference for the dual-mode horn antenna in the practical application of the UHF partial discharge detection. Meanwhile, a PD set test system of measuring partial discharge square in wave steep pulse voltage was designed. And the partial discharge of nano corona resistance on polyimide film made by Dupont was measured by this test system. The results show that this dual mode cone horn antenna is applicable to the extraction of partial discharge signals. The test system of square wave steep pulse voltage of partial discharge has a good SNR and sensitivity, which can meet the requirements of which can meet the requirements of on-line monitoring and diagnostics of power apparatus testing situation.
