Abstract :
The measurement on scattering characteristics of large complex target is always restricted by expensive cost, venues and environment, and the scattering characteristics of the full-scale can be obtained by measuring the scattering characteristics of the scale-model. The scale relation of electromagnetic scattering from electrically large target is given based on the method of equivalent edge currents which considers the influence of edge diffraction. The theoretical derivation shows that the diffracted field RCS, PO scattering field RCS and total scattering field RCS follow the same scale relation. To verify the validity of the scale relation proposed, the bistatic radar cross section of cube and trapezoid are calculated. Numerical results confirm the validity of the scale relation.
