Abstract :
A method of design Ka-band E-faced-folded compact waveguide magic-T junction is presented. The design implements a stepped conducting cylinder to obtain the excellent performance. The results show that the return loss of the magic-T junction is less than -20 dB and the average insertion loss is more than -0.1dB in the 4GHz frequency bandwidth. The E-H and 1-2 port isolations are less than -25dB. In addition, the absolute value of the amplitude and the phase imbalance is less than 0.002dB and 0.1°.
