Abstract :
Periodical thermal imaging of electrical installations, with examination of working conditions and process factors leads to suggestions for preventive maintenance. This paper deals with the influence of applied measures for maintenance, based on the determining cause of increased temperatures on the reliability of the component during their life cycle. With periodical thermal imaging and with proper maintenance, damages could be avoided, caused by failure of preventive replacement of the components damaged on some parts, also damages caused by disruption of production process due to failure of mechanical-technological or electrical-energetic equipment and also fires caused by increased temperature.
