  • Abstract
The paper provides an alleviated calculation of the distances S, which is based on the assessment of the lightning current distribution through the elements of the lightning system. The methodology avoids the complex computational procedures connected with the programmes for field analysis. Instead of that, the task is reduced to the analysis by the help of the nodal approach in matrix form, in combination with Laplace transform method at zero initial conditions.
