Abstract :
This paper describes an acquisition system which has been used to demonstrate the usefulness of problem-based pedagogy. This system was based on a high-performance microcontroller, an integrated temperature and humidity sensor and real-time data hard drive storage functionality. According to the characteristic analysis method, this paper illustrated the benefits of sensor network optimization by applying the concept of contact sample to assess the sensors´ relevance of each test position which depends on the correlation and classifies the collected temperature and humidity information. Traditionally, it is a challenging task to effectively explain optimal system design and neural network in the classroom. However, it becomes a piece of cake for students to understand the advantage of those basic concepts by illustrating the emulation system.
