Abstract
We present an in depth analysis of a partially `slotted´ semiconductor laser utilized for single mode operation exhibiting integrability with photonic devices. Theoretically, the finite-difference-time-domain (FDTD) method is utilized in order to analyze spectral characteristics as well as the photon density distributed throughout a partial 37th order grating.
