Abstract
We investigate arrays of optical antennas coupled with fluorescent emitters. We specifically explore two limiting regimes - one where the antennas are separated by a distance equal to or larger than the wavelength, allowing the formation of hybrid modes called lattice surface modes, and the other where the period of the array is subwavelength. We provide theoretical insight about the coupling of fluorescent emitters to these structures and illustrate some of our findings with experimental measurements on antenna arrays coupled with PbS colloidal quantum dots.
