Abstract
A low power consumption and wide locking-range frequency divider by two is demonstrated with dual-injection-locking. The proposed structure not only uses direct-injection, but also re-utilizes the current source as the second injector. The effectiveness of dual injection was analyzed by the vector-relationship between these two injection signals. The measured locking-range is from 10.68GHz to 14.26GHz (28.7%) with an injection power of 0dBm. The injection signal sensitivity can reach -30dBm. The power consumption of the core circuit takes only 3.25mW from a 1V power supply.
