  • Abstract
The reduction of energy consumption, in particular the electric consumption in buildings, is a major challenge which the modern societies have to solve. The optimization and the reduction of the electric consumption need the implementation of accurate current wireless sensors for monitoring this power consumption. The cost of the deployment of sensors network in a small existing building has limited its development. Minimizing the number of sensors, implementing non-intrusive technology and reducing the price on a sensor node are so many challenges as we have to recover to decrease the global cost of such a setup and make profitable the monitoring of energy consumption of all appliance. In order to train our students to these new technologies, we have developed at Polytech´ Nice-Sophia, in association with the company Qualisteo, a platform of sensors network. In this paper, we describe this platform as well as the practical class followed by our students or industrial partners.
