Abstract
The article presents the main trends in the Russian energy management. Demand management program based on the principles of energy conservation and the direct and indirect load control. Existing in Russia, wholesale and retail electricity markets and power are aimed at improving energy efficiency and sustainable energy consumption. The paper shows that under certain conditions for the consumer benefit (if technically possible) to reduce consumption at times of maximum loads the results in leveling of the profile load curve EPS and the presence of a positive system-wide effect.
