  • Abstract
    Options to contribute to national energy security and this is where you get to interconnections within a dilemma cede sovereignty and free trade of electricity (Tratado Marco del Mercado Eléctrico de América Central) are sought. It has been identified that the closest to the integration of the electricity sector in Central theory is neofunctionalism supports this view the theory of economic integration. These two benchmarks are at work to describe a theoretical perspective political economy behind the whole process. A political phenomenon that can refine methodology from a immersed in the theory of rational choice, and a method based on the expected utility model. All work is the result of a literature survey, direct observation and interviews with stakeholders.
