  • Abstract
    Fast Oil Paint Image filter is a performance optimized oil paint algorithm. Current oil paint algorithms are CPU intensive and take a long time to produce the output; further the time taken increases exponentially with increasing quality. One of the main causes is re-computation. The proposed algorithm significantly reduces re-computation reducing the processing time by approximately 86%. The research also evaluates the algorithm using the parallel programming approach.
