Abstract :
This paper presents a solution to improve light load efficiency by the use of a non-linear Inductor under light loading. The Sendust nonlinear inductor is modeled in MATLAB to analyze conduction losses in boost PFC. In addition, the inductor voltage, current and efficiency (η) of boost PFC with and without nonlinear is compared. The model of a nonlinear inductor with a given core characteristics is provided and the analysis of losses in boost PFC circuit is done.
