  • Abstract
    Blind people need guide tools to help them walk safely. The traditional guide tool is a guide rod. However, the guide rods always have shortages. With the development of technology, the electronic guide instrument for blind people has been designed. In this paper, infrared sensors are used to detect road information, and the information is analyzed by recognition algorithm. Then the electronic device gives warnings to the blind with a voice module on ARM9. The recognition algorithm has been simulated, and it can recognize simple obstacles.
