Abstract :
The data relay satellite as a typical GEO satellite application plays an important role in the TT&C and data transmission based on space. Taking into account operation and production cost of the relay satellite very high, so it is great to significantly improve the social and economic benefits as much as possible to extend the satellite in orbit life. Many countries have adopted without north-south maneuver method to extend the satellite life. However, with satellite incline angle becoming bigger and bigger, the relay satellite to earth antenna pointing is to be not accurate. As a result, the pointing deviation may cause data transmission error rate increasing and reducing the link quality. Based on the relay satellite antenna pointing and operation condition analysis, this paper puts forward the maximum incline angle to meet mission needs, and calculates and vivificates for the maximum angle. At the same time this paper analyzes the influence of small incline angle control strategy of long-term operation and data relay mission of the relay satellite in GEO.
