Abstract
Planar diode in which positive and negative charged particles with monoenergetic velocity distribution functions are supplied from opposite electrodes and move with no collision in the interelectrode spacing under self-consistent electric field is studied. A total classification of the potential distributions is obtained. It has been found that several steady-state solutions can exist under the same parameters of the beams.
