Abstract :
Simulation software for 3D beam dynamics and optimization in the injection systems is considered. Simulation of the MPI-based beam dynamics is accomplished on the basis of the “large” particle method. Accelerating electrostatic field is simulated by the finite difference method, in view of the injection system real geometry. For the beam field simulation both numerical solution of boundary value problem for Poisson equation and approximate analytical methods can be applied. To calculate the Coulomb field of the beam, both a numerical solution of the Poisson equation taking account of the electrodes configuration and approximate analytical methods are applied. A number of MPI-based numerical methods for multicriteria optimization are the integral part of this software.
