Abstract
While network communication research has been done for decades, in recent times (especially after 2005) a whole range of new architectures and improvement proposals for existing ones were introduced to the interested scientific community. Among them, I/CCN (Information / Content Centric Networking) stands out as a special one, backed up by several prestigious research groups, being at the same time a promising emerging solution to several problems encountered in the traditional way of doing networking. While the authors of this paper remain skeptic about the general CCN approach towards networking, nevertheless they see some specialized fields where CCN concepts could be quite useful. The present document will analyze the possibility to use notions of CCN for optimizing financial stock trading.
