Abstract
The paper presents the core functionality of a new simulator (named Hybrid Network Performance Simulator) that successfully combines Queueing Networks and Petri Nets models into the new proposed formal world of hybrid networks. Unlike the previous proposal of a hierarchical combination of Queueing and Petri Nets analysed in isolation, hybrid nets allow the communication between the two types of networks, thus increasing the complexity and accuracy of models.
