Abstract :
The paper presents design and implementation of an efficient telemedicine system. Main system capabilities are ECG acquisition, automated analysis, transmission to the server, possibility for physician ECG signal review. ECG acquisition may be achieved using existing commercial devices, as well as using a very affordable device designed by authors. Mobile application keeps connection with ECG device and performs ECG signal analysis nearly real-time with appropriate messaging to the user. Developed signal analysis algorithms are presented and considered regarding to achieved accuracy and computing efficiency. Nowadays, modern mobile devices usually have a lot of integrated sensors, like acceleration sensor. Mobile application implements real time acceleration sensor analysis regarding to detect user physical activity like walking. In mobile application report, user walking activity may provide useful information with appropriate correlation with ECG signal. From the mobile application user can send ECG records for review by physician involved in the system. ECG for Everybody services cover online storing, remote access as well as medical review of observed ECG records by physicians. Forum based portal of the ECG for Everybody is accessible for ECG records publishing. ECG records may be captured using different ECG devices, scanned images for example. Crowd-sourcing messaging on posted records is reviewed by physicians involved in the ECG for Everybody system and correct commenters are highly rated by physicians so their future comments can be marked as reliable for other users.
