Abstract :
Through the signal processing fundamentals in airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR), the chirp and dechirp technique is discussed. This kind of technique plays an especially important role in spotlight mode SAR because of its imaging capability with high resolution in a small target terrain. Based on the dechirp technique, an efficient image formation procedure unique to spotlight mode SAR imaging is finally proposed
