Abstract
The authors describe the application of dynamic modeling in an explorative case study by the Amsterdam Municipal Police Force. The current organization and the business processes of the force, both `as is´ and `as could be´, have been evaluated using a dynamic model as a substitute for the complex, organizational reality. During the study, dynamic modeling proved to be an effective technique for supporting organizational change
