This paper presents an analysis of the E-commerce development of industry sectors in Wuhan metropolitan area. Based on the research of present application status of industry sectors on the aspects of portals-construction and e-business platforms, we find some barriers during the development process such as industrial enterprises´ unawareness of e-commerce, no full play to e-commerce´s advantageous functions and disharmony of interior informationization level and the needs of e-commerce development. Finally, this paper puts forward some countermeasures to overcome these obstacles.
