Abstract
A new correlator receiver architecture based on a modified version of unipolar-bipolar correlation is proposed for noncoherent optical fiber CDMA networks. The receiver BER performance is evaluated as a function of the received optical power for noncoherent transmission and direct detection with the number of simultaneous users as a parameter. Results show that, this technique while avoiding coherent detection can achieve the same BER performance as a coherent CDMA system
