Abstract
This paper presents the analysis of an asymmetrical half-bridge (ASHB-PWM) DC-DC converter with wide ZVS range. The wide ZVS range is achieved with the designing of a desired magnetizing inductance, which value does not significantly increase conduction losses in the primary side. The proposal advantage is low cost, since any additional passive or active component is needed. The theoretical analysis, the simulation results and experimental results from a 500 W converter are presented. The converter was designed for a 300 V of input voltage, 60 V of output voltage and switching frequency of 50 kHz.
