Each book is an opportunity awaiting someone, an opportunity to write a book review for organizations in which they hold membership. Many professional societies and other special interest groups have columns in their newsletters, journals, transactions, or similar publications dedicated to providing book reviews for their membership. It is a quick way for other members to evaluate whether they wish to purchase or read a new book without spending their money up front. Who then provides these book reviews? Why not you?
