Abstract
A compact triple-band bandpass Alter (BPF) using tri-section stepped-impedance resonators (SIRs) is presented, in which the special coupling scheme at input/output (I/O) ports is adopted to produce tunable transmission zeros in order to generate high out-of-band suppression. A microstrip filter is simulated and fabricated, which achieves insertion loss of 1.5, 2.5 and 1.7 dB at 1.0, 2.4, 3.6 GHz, respectively. The simulated and measured results show a great agreement.
