Abstract :
The evolution of telecommunications technology and the integration with computing applications leads to a new situation on the market of service provision. The user requires more sophisticated services, which can fulfil his needs for mobility in business and private life. The concept of the Personal Service Communication Space (PSCS) and its service architecture is under development in the project Mobilise running in the RACE framework of the European Communities in order to meet the requirements, PSCS offers as a value added network and service platform basic personalization and mobility features to the user. Additionally it supports a competitive multiprovider scenario. The PSCS can be regarded as the service related extension of concepts like UPT or UMTS/FPLMTS. The basic concept of PSCS and its major components are described in this paper
