  • Abstract
    A novel ZCS PWM converter with dual converter operation is proposed. All switches in the proposed converter are operating to work alternatively turn-on and turn-off with soft switching condition. The switch S2 in the conventional ZVT converter plays a part as the auxiliary switch to operate the main switch S1 and the rectifier in the soft switching condition during the transition period. But the switch S2 in the proposed converter has two roles as both the auxiliary switch to hold the soft switching condition and the main switch for a dual operation. A 100 kHz, 200 W boost converter has been implemented to verify the operation and performance of the proposed converter.
