Abstract :
We experimentally demonstrate concatenated 4-fold 40-Gbit/s signal multicasting, 4-fold 40-to-160-Gbit/s multiplexing and subsequent 160-to-40-Gbit/s demultiplexing based on supercontinuum generation and cross-phase modulation in highly nonlinear fibers. 5-9 dB penalty at 10-9 BER was observed after the nonlinear processes.
