Title :
Statistical analysis of single-mode fiber field splice losses
Author_Institution :
Res., AT&T Labs., Middletown, NJ
Abstract :
Using measurements of splice losses in the AT&T network, a statistical model for splice losses is presented and inferences can be made for the distributions of lateral, angular, and longitudinal fiber displacements in field splices.
